In the Subtitle panel you can select, edit, add and delete subtitles. The subtitles entered here can be used to defined the subtitle(s) into which the sound track of a film has been translated.

In order to rapidly go to this panel, just press F9.

You will need to select a subtitle when you are either registering a new film, editing an existing film or searching for a film based on the subtitle dimension. To select a subtitle do as follows:

• Click on Select in order to enter into select modus. The text field turns to white. This is the default modus.

 

• Enter a text into the Search Field. Only subtitles containing the entered text will be displayed.

 

• Click on the Subtitle you want to select. The selected subtitle including its ID are now shown in the ID and Search Field.

 

• Click OK. Fun Search goes now automatically back to the panel where the selection is needed.

An alternative and quick way to select a subtitle is to press the Ctrl-key followed by the ID of the given subtitle. For instance, the key combination Ctrl+7 will select the subtitle with its ID equal to 7.

Note as well that once a subtitle is selected, you can change to the Edit or Delete modus without losing the selected subtitle.

You can edit the name of an existing subtitle whenever you want. You may need to do so if you for instance discover a misspelling (Engilsh instead of English) or decide to change the name of a subtitle (change from Spanish to Castellano).

Regardless the reason for which you would like to edit the name of a subtitle, just follow the steps below:

• Click on Edit in order to enter into edit modus. The text field turns to blue.

 

• Click on the Subtitle you want to edit. The selected subtitle including its ID are now shown in the ID and Edit Field.

 

• Enter a new name for the selected subtitle into the Edit Field.

 

• Click OK.

Note that once a subtitle has been edited, all registered films that refers to the edited subtitle are also automatically updated.

You can enter any number of subtitles into Fun Search. The items you enter here will be available later to define the subtitle(s) into which the sound tracks of your films have been translated. This information represent a very useful dimension to rapidly locate films translated into a specific language. To add a new subtitle do as follows:

• Click on Add in order to enter into add modus. The text field turns to green.

 

• Enter a name for the new subtitle into the Edit Field.

 

• Click OK.

When a given subtitle is no longer needed, you may like to delete it. Even though this is an operation that is seldom needed, it helps to save space in your Film Library File. Note however that a subtitle can only be deleted if none of the films registered into Fun Search is refering to it. To delete a subtitle do as follows:

• Click on Delete in order to enter into delete modus. The text field turns to orange.

 

• Click on the Subtitle you want to delete. The selected subtitle including its ID are now shown in the ID and Edit Field.

 

• Click OK.
